Why are most young Japanese women so damned snobbish?

I asked a question before asking if people think that Japanese women are the most snobbish in Asia. I can tell you after 9 months in Japan that yes, young Japanese women are the most snobbish women in Asia. I walked by a pretty young Japanese at the local train station and I greet her by saying "konichiwa." She refuses to respond back, so all I can say is "what a *****." Or to make it worse I could have said, "what a racist *****." Next time a Japanese woman refuses to say hello to me after I greet her, I will tell her in her face that she is a *****.
So why are most young Japanese women so damned snobbish?

Saying konnichi wa to an old lady walking her dogs is also going to get you ignored.

We / you / I will just have to get used to the coolness of the Japanese.

They won't change. Right?

It's probably because they think you're a pervert and they don't respond because they want you to go away. Seriously use your logic. In Japan (and in many many parts of Asia) and especially Tokyo, you can't just 'hello' some random stranger you have no connections to. It doesn't work that way, maybe you can do that in America or wherever you come from, but not in Japan.

I'm sorry I have to be blunt but they don't mean to sound snobbish, it's just that it's weird some random foreigner says hello to you for no reason at all. The women are probably thinking that you are hitting on them (which is probably true..am I right?).



Maybe the problem isn't Japanese women. Maybe it's you.



Addition: Okay now I'm wondering if you're really actually this stupid and have that big of an ego, or if you're just trolling people on Yahoo. If you want to pick up women in Japan, go to a bar or something.



Hopefully the next poor Japanese girl you hit on will spit on your face and give you a well-deserved knee in the groins.

You have to have a better pretext than that for your nampa. Pretend you are lost and ask directions to the station, ask for a light, etc.

What a BIG ego you have ! You're a complete stranger, and you expect her to respond to you ? I have people ignore me here, and I'm in the San Francisco area. Not everyone wants to deal with a strangers greeting. Deal with it. I do.
